A home away from home

Everyone should have kind people who care for them, especially in an unfamiliar city, and that’s what we at KLoé love to do.

KLoé is our little wordplay combining the initials of ‘Kuala Lumpur’ and ‘Chloe’ – the Greek name meaning ‘tender, young shoot’ or ‘fresh bloom’. Our name suggests budding ideas, new discoveries and doing things a little differently.

We hope to inspire a different perspective of hospitality, and we do this by empowering our employees to host guests as if they would in their own homes, just like  ‘Tuan Rumah’ in the Malay language.  We fill our spaces with furniture, ceramics and artwork from the city’s leading artists and designers in celebration of creativity so  that like-minded people will find in us a haven to rest, explore and play.

Please linger within our walls and let yourself slow down.

Kindness of Strangers Group

Kindness of Strangers is a hospitality company built around the notion of offering kindness to everyone - not just our guests who stay with us, but more importantly, our employees who choose to work with us.

To us, kindness is a language that can be universally understood and multiplied, so we spread kindness by acting with genuine warmth and creating little pockets of calm and creativity to inspire connections.

We started our journey with a single backpackers hostel, and now run a boutique hotel, a creative space for independent businesses, a couple of cafés and a pocket park, all located in the heart of Downtown KL. Our projects all share a few things in common — they are calm, inviting spaces full of light and laughter, that inspire creativity and feel like home.
